In the January edition of the Culingua Journal, we are pleased to present five articles to publish written by researchers from different universities. These five articles include topics that deal with various linguistics branches in sociolinguistics, applied linguistics, semantics, syntax, and discourse analysis that present innovative and thought-provoking findings in the field.

Congratulations to all the authors in this edition who have successfully negotiated the review procedure.
